As we reflect on the past year, we look for certain pool trends that were popular locally and nationally. The following four features took the spots for Top Trends in 2016.
1) Infinity Edges: These edges appear to drop off the back, allowing water to disappear at the edge of the pool. A reservoir catches the water as it recycles back into the pool. These types of edges are beautiful against a water backdrop (ocean, lake, river) or a natural, wooded setting (nature preserve).
2) Glass Tiles: Glass tiles along the waterline and interior of the pool were also a big hit this year. Glass tiles have almost unlimited shapes, colors and sizes available. Our pool specials can help you decide which type of glass tile would be best in your pool/spa application.
3) Fire Features: Fire bowls and pits were a big hit this year. They are controlled by a switch, and can provide a little warmth now that our Florida winter is upon us.
4) Natural Pools: Organically-shaped pools that highlight the surrounding landscapes and waterscapes are very popular in our Florida area. Surrounding the pool with natural landscape also helps with privacy from neighbors, too.
