During your appointment, we’ll review different types of tile for your pool or spa. While we have several types of tile materials available, today we’ll focus on glass and ceramic/porcelain.

But first, why do we need tile?
They play a vital role in the upkeep and maintenance of your pool. Usually installed as a 6-inch band, waterline pool tile follows the perimeter of your pool to help prevent pollen, sunscreen, body oils and other substances that enter the water from creating a yellow, scummy line at the pool’s waterline“.

They are also very durable and easy to repair (or replace) if needed.

Why is porcelain tile a good choice?
It is the most popular selection and is available in a wide range of colors and sizes. Traditional patterns can be combined to create a unique look for your pool. It’s also the most cost-effective.

What about glass tile?
Glass tile will not fade in color. They are most expensive than the traditional ceramic/porcelain tile, but if you are looking for a high-end look to your pool, glass tile is a perfect fit.
