Job Description
Here's an outline of the responsibilities for an Apex Foreman III that ensures the smooth operation of construction projects:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Protocol and Culture: Ensure that company protocols and culture are consistently followed by all field team members. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Lead by example and promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.
2. Product Knowledge: Exhibits proficient knowledge in the Apex product. Understands concepts to a point can pass along knowledge to labor support in an effective efficient manner.
3. Site Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work site; enforce cleanliness standards among workers to promote safety and efficiency.
4. Technology Utilization: Utilize company management software, tools, and technologies to streamline communication, scheduling, and reporting processes.
5. Blueprint and Plan Interpretation: Interpret and implement construction plans, blueprints, and drawings; ensure accurate execution of design specifications on-site.
6. Cost Control: Monitor expenditures related to labor, materials, and equipment; identify cost-saving opportunities and report budgetary concerns to project managers.
7. Equipment Management: Ensure proper use, maintenance, and storage of tools and equipment; coordinate repairs and rentals as needed to support project requirements.
8. Daily Reporting: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, materials used, manpower, equipment, and progress; report to project managers and stakeholders regularly.
9. Continual Improvement: Seek opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and enhanced safety measures on-site; implement best practices and lessons learned.
10. Material Management: Coordinate the delivery, storage, and efficient use of materials on-site; maintain inventory records and manage waste disposal in compliance with environmental regulations.
11. Client Relations: Interface with clients and inspectors; address client concerns and maintain positive relationships throughout the project.
12. Crew Management: As a foreman III you will be utilized to manage crews onsite. Your experience and knowledge will be important to not only your task or trade specific guidance, but your leadership skills should be utilized on every approach for the development of the Apex team and culture.
13. Safety: Must be able to hold an OSHA 30 certification and first aid/CPR. Promotes safety at all times and provides guidance and direction to Apex team members on proper procedures and conduct. Understands the importance of safety protocols and controls the protocols onsite.
14. Training and Development: Stay current on industry related training and education. Develop skills through mentorship and education and assist in the development and training of new Apex team members on industry related practices as well as company policies, protocols and procedures.
15. Apex initiative: Always be prepared to have the willingness and flexibility to undertake and perform any tasks, duties or responsibilities outside of the general scope of work outlined for your role at the direction of management and/or for the success of Apex. Apex reserves the right to assign additional tasks and responsibilities as needed.
