Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Pool Start-up Procedures: Execute start-up procedures for newly constructed swimming pools, including filling, testing, and balancing water chemistry. Conduct initial system checks to ensure all pool equipment (pumps, filters, heaters, etc.) is functioning correctly. Adjust water chemistry parameters to meet industry standards and client specifications.
2. Quality Control: Implement and adhere to company quality control standards for pool start-ups to ensure high-quality workmanship. Perform detailed inspections to verify that all pool components, finishes, and accessories meet design and safety standards. Address any deficiencies promptly, coordinating with project teams to resolve issues.
3. Client Communication and Training: Communicate effectively with clients regarding pool start-up procedures, maintenance requirements, and operation guidelines. Provide training to clients on basic pool operation, maintenance tasks, and chemical handling procedures. Address client questions and concerns professionally, ensuring a positive customer experience.
4. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all pool start-up activities, including water chemistry test results, equipment checks, and adjustments made. Prepare comprehensive reports documenting the condition and readiness of each pool for client review and approval. Submit required documentation to project managers and maintain records for future reference.
5. Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with project managers, construction teams, and subcontractors to schedule and coordinate pool start-up activities. Collaborate with team members and customers to ensure all specifications and requirements are met during start-up processes. Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate a seamless transition from construction to operational phase.
6. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines during pool start-up activities, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others. Ensure compliance with local health, safety, and environmental regulations related to pool water quality and chemical handling. Maintain awareness of industry best practices and standards related to pool construction and maintenance.
7. Training and Development: Stay current on industry related training and education. Develop skills through mentorship and education and assist in the development and training of new Apex team members on industry related practices as well as company policies, protocols and procedures.
8. Apex initiative: Always be prepared to have the willingness and flexibility to undertake and perform any tasks, duties or responsibilities outside of the general scope of work outlined for your role at the direction of management and/or for the success of Apex. Apex reserves the right to assign additional tasks and responsibilities as needed.
