The role of an Apex Project Manager is to manage selected or assigned projects by facilitating coordination, leading communication, reviewing project details, and collaborating with various stakeholders. As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating all preconstruction, construction, and post-construction activities to ensure projects are executed successfully and to the highest standards of quality. Equally important, this role emphasizes providing an exceptional customer experience—you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building trust through clear, timely, and professional communication. By keeping clients informed, addressing concerns proactively, and ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded, you will help uphold the reputation of Apex Pavers & Pools as a company committed not only to craftsmanship but also to service. In this position, you will collaborate closely with the Director of Construction, Construction Managers, the Pre-construction Manager, and various field personnel to maintain efficiency, consistency, and customer satisfaction across every project you lead.

Key Responsibilities:

Communication and Reporting: Act as the primary contact for field teams, addressing concerns and providing support. Report regularly on project progress, issues, and potential solutions to the construction team. Maintain accurate documentation, including daily logs, change orders, and progress reports.

Job Costing: Track, monitor and adjust job costs in relation to budget and profitability. Keep records up-to-date with month by month progress, invoice review and approval, overage expenses, labor hours, subcontracted costs and remaining cost.

Project Plan Review: Review project plans, specifications, and timelines to assess feasibility and identify potential issues. Collaborate with team members to ensure effective project planning and execution. Communicate any discrepancies in project plans and propose solutions to challenges.

Collaboration: Work closely with Construction Managers and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless flow of information and resources. Align project goals with budget and schedule by collaborating effectively with all team members. Provide input to optimize project budgeting and planning efforts.

Quality Control: Implement and enforce company quality control standards throughout all project phases. Conduct regular inspections and quality assurance checks to ensure workmanship meets project specifications and industry standards. Address quality issues promptly and maintain high standards of service delivery.

Protocol and Culture: Uphold company protocols and foster a positive, collaborative work environment among field teams. Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability through leading by example. Encourage continuous improvement practices within the project teams.

Training and Development: Stay current on industry related training and education. Develop skills through mentorship and education and assist in the development and training of new Apex team members on industry related practices as well as company policies, protocols and procedures.
