At Apex, our 10 Certified (Pool) Builder Professionals are here to help guide our customers through the pool design process. Our customers often ask how they can better prepare for their appointments. We always encourage client participation and are delighted to share a few helpful tips.
Research:
Before the appointment, spend time to research different pool designs, materials, and features that you're drawn to. Look through magazines, websites, and social media platforms for inspiration. This will give you a clearer idea of what you're looking for. It will also help communicate your preferences to your pool designer.
Budget:
Determine your budget for the project. This will help us understand your financial constraints and tailor recommendations accordingly. Be prepared to discuss your budget during the appointment so your designer can provide options that align with your financial goals.
Backyard Assessment:
Assess the space where you envision the pool being installed. Consider factors such as the size and shape of the area, existing landscaping, sun exposure, and any potential obstacles like trees or utilities. This information will be valuable for us when creating a custom pool design that fits your space perfectly.
List Your "Must-Haves" and "Nice-to-Haves":
Make a list of features and amenities that you would absolutely want in your custom pool (must-haves) as well as those that you would like to have if they fit within your budget (nice-to-haves). This will help prioritize during the design process and ensure that the most important elements are included.
Ask Questions:
Bring a list of questions to ask the pool designer during the appointment. This could include the construction process, maintenance requirements, materials needed, and any other concerns you may have. The more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your custom pool.
